I. Objectives:

1.      From the discussion, 18 out of 20, students can define what is table napkin folding.

2.      Based from the discussion, 18 out of 20 can differentiate the style of table napkin folding.

3.      Based from the discussion, 18 out of 20 students can appreciate the advantages of table napkin folding.

4.      The teacher gives an activity that 18 out of 20 students can fold a table napkin with different styles.

II. Subject Matter

            Topic: Table Napkin Folding

            Materials: powerpoint presentation, video presentation, visual aid, table napkin, and          hand-outs.

            References: Book of Meal Management 1 

III. Procedure

            B. Lesson Proper

            Napkin Folding

                        Is a type of decorative folding done with a napkin. It can done as art or as a hobby. Napkin folding is most commonly encounter as a table decoration in fancy restaurants. It is use for wiping the lips, finger, and to protect clothes while eating.

           

            Different Styles of Napkin Folding

1     Pyramid Fold - This classy napkin folding technique is simple, fast, and made easily with most napkins.

       Candle Fold - Something easy, elegant, looks nice and fancy but does not take a boatload of time.

3   Birds of Paradise - Napkin folding technique requires a stiff napkin.

4     Lotus Fold - Also called the water lily or the artichoke, this is one of the best-known napkin folds and will be familiar to anyone who ever made a paper fortuneteller as a child. Use it to present dinner napkins or to surround a roll, a party favor, or a flower.

5   Envelope Fold - is a simple and elegant addition that allows you to personalize your family's meal by including a greeting card, menu, or place card within the folded napkin.

        

           Advantages and Disadvantages of Napkin Folding

Advantages:

   The table napkin folding would be avoiding messy periods, which can truly turn out dirty.

      They make nice table decorations, hold napkins that they collected.

Disadvantages:

  They break easily.

     Somewhat expensive if you want a good quality one, and if you put to many napkins in them it is hard to take them out.

C. Application

            Let the students demonstrate the different styles of table napkin folding.
